Sand Collection

A Sand Collector is called an ARENOPHILE, did you know it?

ATTENTION : after the merge of Mygale and Virtual Baguette, the URL of our notre site has changed;
our address is now :
http://www.collection.sand.as/

Have you ever imagined how different sand could be from one part of the world to another?

Our "beach" is composed of about 2000 samples coming from more than 140 different countries. Each sand is valorized into a glass tube in order to play with it, to let its fluidity express itself free, to admire its colors and to start dreaming...

One can enjoy a real sensual pleasure. The beauty and the variety of colors, with the differences of texture make an admirable and surprising spectacle.

Why not choose your next vacation spot by choosing your sand...?

Synonymous with sun and blue sky, self-colored or mixed, made up of rock or lava, silica or quarz, mica or remains of shells, the sand of your beach, of your island or of your desert is unique and fits into our collection, which can grow ad infinitum...

Fine or rough, self-colored or mixed, each sand is different:

    • white, from beaches of Mexico, Greece or Florida,

    • black, from beaches of Caribbean islands, Sicily or Hawaï,

    • red, from deserts of Arizona, Australia or Sahara,

    • grey, from beaches of France, California or Viêt Nam,

    • ocher, with white to red tones, from the Luberon or Montmorency in France,

    • difficult to obtain, from Lybia, China or Birman,

    • mixed, with remains of shells or corals from Bahamas, Seychelles or Thaïlande,

Do not hesitate to contact us to share this passion with us, to offer your sand or to make exchanges (our unit of exchange is the quantity contained in a film plastic canister).

Our complete beach (~308kb) can be easily viewed. The samples we're ready to trade are identified in the first column and are also listed in a simplified swopping list (~81kb).

We would like to thank here all our friends and collegues who helped us to collect the samples, without forgetting the French Ambassies and Consulates who kindly replied to our requests.

We would like to thank also MULTIMANIA for the free space on their server.
